A Pondering on Connection

Her eyes creak open to the rising sun,
Yawning and stretching as her feet touch the floor.
Walking about the house she switches lights, opens blinds, brews coffee.

Then, her hand clutches hardware on the door…connection.
The swoosh of the rollers sliding on their tracks reverberates in the quiet.
The crisp, fresh air brushes over her face. The taste of life filling her soul…connection.
Every sense connected with the surrounding world.

She sits with her Bible and ponders the marvelous God who made us for each other. Each life an individual story, pieced like a puzzle revealing One…altogether heralding the praise of a Wise Creator and His redemption.

It is this One common thread woven throughout…this One connection that gives meaning to all. That brings joy and peace; hope and promise. That brings depth and beauty; life and praise.

The heart hungers to connect. And when we connect with Him, we connect with each other. And when we connect in this way, we are satisfied to overflowing.

This is my Five Minute Friday. Linking up with Lisa-Jo and the community at her place!
