It’s been a long time since I’ve written here, and honestly, I have no idea if I’ll be able to keep at it much. I’ve been feeling a little absent minded and sick, because…well, I’m pregnant!
My husband and I are very excited. The kids, too. We’ve been praying for another little one for a year and a half. God is so good!
We’re also starting our first year of homeschool next month, and I’m nervous about how I’m going to juggle it all. I’ve decided to play it safe with my blog — only posting when I feel led. It’s kind-of sad for me, but it’s also freeing. Who knows, I might get a sudden burst of inspiration and write like the wind!?
I do have a lot of ideas swirling in my head — much God is working in my heart. But it also feels like a quiet season on my part. Like I need to just sit and listen for a while. I do hope to be back soon. To share all that He’s doing.
Anyway, I’ve really been wanting to keep up with my gift list on Monday’s. The simple counting of thanks works wonders in my perspective. Since I’m inconsistent without a commitment, I figure my blog can hold me accountable to this. That way it won’t be completely silent around here. So today, I’m back at it, picking up where I left off:
#236 Morning devotions in 1 Kings – how mysterious our God can be. More of a draw to know His heart and know His ways.
#237 A bit of chill in the early morning air
#238 A yummy, enjoyable breakfast with the kiddos
#239 My little girl sitting on the barstool, telling me all about yesterday’s Sunday School and the kids in class while I cooked French Toast.
#240 Yesterday’s lunch with a couple who shines God’s love in their encouragement and hospitality.
#241 The reading of Anne of Green Gables – it’s been about ten years since I last read it, and something kept pulling me to it again. How a pause and a wonder at God’s creation can bring such joy and peace. How a story can capture so much beauty in life and relationships.
#242 A movie night with the family. I forgot how much I like Tangled, and how God can speak to my heart, even through a cartoon.
#243 My husband working hard, making sacrifices, and showing godly character. His patience and understanding with me.
#244 Two rounds of swim lessons finally over, but a great, fun time.
#245 A very good sermon at church — God speaking the same message to me, three different mediums, three different ways. It’s so encouraging when He speaks loud.
