To be Filled

I watched the trees sway in the spring wind. An empty, wintry season in the soul had finally ended. It felt like a period at the end of a very long sentence. A new thought began to take shape.

I bowed my head and read, “You crown the year with your bounty; your wagon tracks overflow with abundance. The pastures of the wilderness overflow, the hills gird themselves with joy, the meadows clothe themselves with flocks, the valleys deck themselves with grain, they shout and sing together for joy,” (Psalm 65:11-13).

Lifting my eyes to seas of sky strewn in cumulus puffs, I almost heard a deep, bellowing laughter. I almost felt the earth rumble with joy while proclaiming,

“My God is for me.”

Pause and think on this:

Have you ever felt like everything’s against you? Maybe you’re in that season now and it feels like there’s no end in sight. Read Romans 8:31-39

Take peace in knowing God is always for you.
