The title says it all: I write about faith coupled with simplicity. We are a complex people, from our psyches to our anatomy, living in a complex world, which results in complicated and deep relationships. With all this, we need to come back to the simplicity of our faith: the reliance on God, the seeking of His will, the relationship with Him which does simplify everything (though our situation may be complicated to us, God always knows what He’s doing, and He promises to give us wisdom if we ask).
The tagline, “petals of grace,” explains the intention of my writing. This blog covers the daily struggles of a woman, the joys of motherhood, the meaningful relationships, and the temptations that sometimes take us aghast. Each day is like the petal of a flower: intricately designed, beautiful to behold, delicate and soft…(well most, even if we don’t recognize it). Some petals can be hindered from the light becoming a little wilted or they can get burns from too much exposure. They can also be in so much need of water, that they become crisp and flakey, but no matter how the individual petal appears, when it’s together with the others, a beautiful bloom glistens.
So God takes our lives, the daily petals, and weaves them together into this beautiful end result…a radiant bloom, a vibrant flower. This is how He views us…! And so, I love to view each day, hardships and all, as an undeserved, well-meaning, uniquely designed, gift from God. I’d love to invite you to join me in faith and simplicity to explore the petal of grace that makes up today.

Hi, I’m Jacqui, a wife and stay at home mama. I started this blog to share what God’s teaching me - how He’s changing me. It seems that most days I’m a little messy and broken. This is where I’m finding petals of grace. Beauty from ashes. Will you join me?
